Our Curriculum

Our Educational Program and Practice

Our educational program and practice is child-centred, stimulating and maximises opportunities for enhancing and extending each child’s learning and development.

We beleive that our quality programs build on children’s individual knowledge, strengths, ideas, culture, abilities and interests, which is likely to have long term benefits for children and for the broader society.

Our educational programs view children as capable and competent learners who have agency and learn best through a play-based program.

Our Learning Frameworks

We follow the two national approved learning frameworks that recognise children learn from birth. These are:

Early Years Learning Framework

The Early Years Learning Framework describes childhood as a time of belonging, being and becoming.
Belonging is the basis for living a fulfilling life. Children feel they belong because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture and place. Being is about living here and now.Childhood is a special time in life and children need time to just ‘be’—time to play, try new things and have fun.
Becoming is about the learning anddevelopment that young children experience. Children start to form theirmsense of identity from an early age, whichnshapes the type of adult they will become.

My Time Our Place Framework

The My Time Our Place Framework has been designed for school age care educators working in partnership with children, their families and the community, including schools and aims to extend and enrich children’s wellbeing and development in school age care settings. This Framework is linked to the Early Years Learning Framework and extends the principles, practices and outcomes to the contexts and age range of the children and young people who attend school age care settings.
